Is there a away to stop him from seeing this stuff while still being friends with him on facebook? I don t want everything I like or post to show up in his news feed.

If I delete and block him on facebook and decide at a later date to re add him as a friend, would there be a way to do this with a nice explanation that wouldn t make him feel hurt or mad at me? Right now I m dating someone else and I just don t want my ex seeing everything I like or do on facebook. I might want to be friends with my ex in the future though if I become single again. I was just wondering how would be the best way to explain deleting and re adding him if I go that route?

Under security options in the top right hand corner, you can select "Who can see my stuff?" > "Who can see my future posts" > Select more options, and select close friends. Then, make everyone else you care about (all 600+ of them) a close friend, except the ex.

Honestly, having been through two breakups, either continue on as you are, without hiding or deleting anything, or unfriend the guy. The fact that you broke up already makes him hurt and mad, regardless of what he told you, and what you do/don't post on facebook isn't going to change that.

And if you really care about this guy enough that you may want him in your life later on, why did you break up in the first place?

Forget Facebook functionality advice...sounds like you have some soul searching to do.

just add him to your restricted list... but he'll know that you did it...
