Question:
How to fix Facebook SSL error?

The past several days my Facebook app would not load, it would buffer and then say "network error" despite full service and 4G connection. All other internet apps load just fine. The only way to get it to load was to restart my phone (HTC MyTouch 4G).

After a few days, that stopped working. So I logged out of my app and back in. Still no fix. After searching online with no resolution, I uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app and restarted my phone again. Now when I try to log in, it says "SSL Handshake has timed out." http://m.facebook.com/home.php works on my browser on my phone but it's not as easy to navigate and I'd really appreciate the use of my app again.

T-Mobile can't help because it's not an error on their end, it's on Facebook's, as they say. Though I can't request FB Tech Support help if I can't get Facebook to load... I also cannot load Facebook at all on my computer using Firefox, Safari or IE. The most common "fix" I've found online is to reset your time and date. I have checked both my phone and computer and neither were wrong, but they were both reset anyhow and still I am receiving this error.

Please if you know how to fix this or can get me in any kind of contact with someone who can I would appreciate your help.

ou can try this.

Right click on Google Chrome shortcut at your desktop and choose Properties.

In Target box just add this after quotes --ignore-certificate-errors

It's look like this

"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --ignore-certificate-errors

Click OK. Done.

Check your Internet browser settings. Clear cache and cookies. Internet Explorer * Tools > Internet Options > Delete Browsing History * Tools > Internet Options > Security > Restore Defaults / Reset Security Settings to defaults * Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Default (button for Cookies) * Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Restore defaults (button at the very bottom - check also for TLS and SSL check boxes) Firefox * Tools > Options > Advanced > Protocols > TLS and SSL both checked * Tools > Options > Advanced > Protocols > Certificate - Select One Automatically Check your system date and time (located at the bottom right corner of your screen) - make sure it's the current one. Hope this helps :)
