Can my school view people private messages?!?!?

Hi,

My school have said that they are able to view people's messages they are sending to each other on Facebook! They even said that once they have been deleted they are still able to view them!?!

They also said they can still view your profile and messages of you deactivate your profile!

Can they do this?..... My friends said they use some sort of "mirroring" account so that they can spy on us!

I don't want them reading through my messages just purely because they're are private and between me and my friends!

It is pretty unlikely that they are able to do this. Most Facebook traffic is SSL encrypted so it would take a high level computer security expert to break that. Then logging all the info of all the students in some sort of mirror account is pretty far fetched. Is this a high school? If so, they are not going to budget the money to hire people to do this. Way to expensive and complicated.

Never heard such crap in all my born days. Even the police need a warrant to subpoena Facebook to hand over those details. Facebook actually promotes privacy and it's users to use the settings. If they have copies of any messages then your friend has given it to them. To make sure you haven't left your account open on one of their computers, change your password now and it will automatically log you out of all devices you have used.

They Shouln't be able to and shoulnt do but if you are at school on facebook connected to there internet they could do something of the kind. And if they are on your facebook or creating 'mirror acounts' they should only do it with permision from someone within you household and if they dont have permision from a parent/relitive

it could cause problems andcould be illegal, So te proberbally dont

Never heard of this, I don't believe they can see your messages, your messages are private, just make sure that you log out from their computers and also change your password.

I don't think so. you must sing out and remove history, because maybe remain password saved on broswer, but they can't to do this
