What does UP means in a facebook group post?

does commenting UP in a facebook group post mean anything. I'm part of a facebook group dealing with sales etc(some form of ebay) and when people post something like PSP for sale they are allowed(apparantely) an UP every 24 hours. Does that actually do anything or is it just a joke?

"up" in an FB group is just the same as the "up" in forums, the purpose of using it is that the post with the latest comment will always be featured of top and hence visible to users.
