Facebook is asking for me to punch in a security code, but they are sending the code to my old phone number which I no longer have access to. I have access to my login email, but can't figure out how to send the security code to my email. Please any help??? locked out of my own fb -_-

go to the account recovery options by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link.. for resetting ur password.. ur email account wud be needed i guess.. just to confirm the password change... then, reset ur password and once u get signed-in into ur account.. follow these steps.. :)

Go To "Account Settings" >>

then in the left pane.. select "mobile" >>

it wud show up the registered phone number with a link button to 'remove' the registered phone number. >>

When you log in with your password and username a screen pops up that is titled "Enter Security Code."

1. Click the "I can't get my code" link in blue.

2. Click the "Skip this and stop asking me to enter codes" link in blue.

3. Click the "Turn off Security Codes button in blue. (it should log you in)

4. In the same browser go to url: https://www.facebook.com/settings.

5. Click the mobile phone icon on the left side of the screen.

6. Click remove on your old phone number.

7. Click "+ Add another mobile phone number" and follow the steps.

8. Once confirmed go to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security.

9. Click edit on "login approval."

10. Checkmark the box and click save to re-enable the settings we disabled.

*UPDATE* Kimberly glad to see you solved your problem. However, a report is not necessary for Paul's case. (I guess you could file a report if you really want to.) That screenshot posted by Paul is new, It was not posted when I answered the question. Paul....your already logged in, it says it right on your photo ("log out"). Just skip to #4 on my list. If you can't perform step number 4 then use the link Kimberly gave you. ~Stay Safe, CyberGeek.

There is no "I can't get my code" link, Cybergeek. The screen she showed is the same that is popping up for me. I have yet to find a solution on the internet.

Edit: Found it. You must fill out this form and you'll get an email requiring you to confirm your identity:

You'll have to go to

https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=mobile_account_verification

and submit a report. Then, they'll tell you to scan/take a picture of a government issued ID with your full name and birth date visible so that they can confirm you are who you say you are.
