If you 'unsubscribe' from someone on facebook i know they are still your Friend you can get their updates but can they tell, like will they be able to get on your wall and stuff and send you messages. Theres this weird list that says its people who are subscribed to you and mine says none, but as far as photos and updates that's not true cos my Friends get them so i think that's something else.
thanks

They wouldn't be able to tell immediately. They can still send you messages. But they wouldn't be able to write on your wall. That's unless you're set your profile so that they can still see your wall.

They can suspect you've unfriended them by their number of friends having decreased, by not seeing status updates from you, by another common friend replying to a comment of theirs which wasn't originally on your news update, and such like. Then the final way to see, would be by displaying that person's profile.
