I was using firefox and facebook and all of a sudden i got a virus.?

Question

I using firefox and was on facebook and was using grease monkey scripts like unfriends. All of a sudden firefox crashed and a window popped up saying that windows 7 internet protection or some garbage like that said that Google Chrome and Firefox were viruses. I did some clean ups and all of a sudden I could no use any exe files. it would state that i need to associate a file with it. So i did a system restore. Before I lost my exe file association AVG popped up saying that BIV.exe was a virus and it was being removed. THEN I lost my exe association. Any help or advice?

A few mins later a Finished the system restore and now everything is weird and not working so well. What the F*** happened?

You should scan your computer with ESET Online Scanner. It will find and remove any malware on your computer.

AVG is not that good. You should switch to avast!.

Computer is infected with malware.System Restore NEVER removes any infection - that's why it's called SYSTEM restore.

OK do this: restart computer, on start-up on start-up keep tapping F8.From the list choose Safe Mode With Networking.Browser will be functioning.Go to the site www.malwarebytes.com.Installfree version of Malwarebytes,install updates right away.Run Full Computer Scan.Remove infections. Restart computer normally.
