How do I get rid of the "is" in my Facebook status?

I've seen a few people without the mandatory "is" in their facebook status line. How do you do that?

Not sure haha. Never really thought of it, but guess what? As of tonight, I found that they are getting rid of it. I just did a little searching, and found it on Wired, which is a trustable source of information.
