Question:
What's the big deal on how many "comments" and "likes" you can get on your Facebook status/pictures?

Everytime I have a status up, my cousin will respond "Oh that's nice, now comment on my status". He even ask me to like it too. If I don't like or comment on his status, he makes a huge deal and tries to call me out. I remember, he had pretty interesting status updates. I respond, because I could relate to them and they made me laugh sometimes. Then, one status was really stupid and he wrote on my board saying "You know, I have been commenting and liking your status for quite sometime now. I don't care how busy you are, but if my gf can comment and like my status, you can too". That is a huge lie because I have comment on his status and pictures and junk, even more than he comment on mines (which I really don't care if no one comments on my stuff or not!). I told him that he did not have to comment on my stuff. You are not doing me any favors if you think so. He flipped because I didn't care about ONE status. He's 23 years old, my goodness! The reason why he comments on my stuff is for me to comment on his things. I don't see him bugging anyone else but me, and I got tired of it. We argued back and forth ( I should of just deleted him and not argued) and then I had to delete him. He tried to add me twice but I denied him. My mom said that I was wrong for deleting him, how? He was the one picking fights with people. I don't want high school drama on my FB. I have noticed that with a few of my friends too lately. You don't like or comment on their status (pictures too), they either delete their status or make a status saying how people are crazy for not commenting or liking. I don't see what the huge deal is. What does it matter how many comments and likes you have? My goodness, you have to determine your self-worth on how many likes and comments you have? You don't have to comment on every single status or picture.

Because people feel like they need attention/approval too much. Needy people pretty much. Which is why i dont use facebook. I have a G+, but i only go post randomly and check it out and reply to friends randomly as well.
