Does anyone else hate Facebook?

I think it is one of the most over popularized internet sites around. The interface sucks! Does anyone else agree?

uhhh....no. Facebook is the bomb!!! If ur really gonna say that the interface sucks then you shouldnt even be on a computer. Compared to crap like myspace...facebook has a way better designed interface thats easier to navigate and much more user friendly. Myspace just consists of flashy profiles with loud colours and fonts that are not even readable. Facebook is for intelligent people who want more than just spam and loud colours....maybe thats why you dont understand it.

Facebook was designed with college students in mind, and it was designed with information sharing in mind. i.e., the point of Facebook is to be a central place where everyone can find out any information they want about anyone in their social network. It is not supposed to be a competitor to MySpace, which was designed with "self expression" in mind. i.e., you can practically make your own web page on MySpace without having any abilities whatsoever.



And no, Facebook's interface does not suck. As an expert in user interface and user experience who's been doing it for some of the biggest companies in the world for more than ten years, I can tell you confidently that Facebook is a great example of a highly accessible, information-rich UI. To be entirely honest, anyone who doesn't understand it is probably too stupid to be using a computer. And that's OK, computers aren't for everyone.

In my opinion, Facebook is the best social networking site currently in existence. They have a wonderful user interface (recently updated, by the way) and it has the capability to keep friends, classmates, and co-workers connected. However, as facebook is designed for high school and college students, many of your friends may not have profiles on the site.



I, and many graphics designers and webmaster professionals, think that MySpace is one of the worst websites clogging up the internet's "pipes". Their poorly designed interface causes pain to my eyes and the eyes of anyone that has the slightest sense of what is considered good design. Users add to this problem by creating profiles which use harsh backgrounds, unreadable fonts, clashing colors, and unnecessary music. Furthermore, myspace uses flashy advertisements which also spread malicous programs to the user's computer.

i've got self belief Twitter is going a tad a procedures. Why does each and every physique could be linked to the internet to submit that they are playing a hike in the woods? human beings are installation disconnected from what they're needless to say doing whilst connecting to the internet. i'm now no longer in opposition to facebook/twitter/yahoo solutions, and so on, yet we could desire to chill down with the technological understand-how a tad and experience existence without the internet each and every now and then (such as no longer twittering that we are collaborating in soccer with our little ones, working on the gym, ingesting dinner with the companion and teenagers, and so on.)

i actually think that it is better than myspce... the interface is imo better becasue you can see wall2wall and see all the past messages and stuff, and it puts your friends in networks so you can find your friends easier and faster. you cant customize your pages as much but i think that its kinda cool being all basic and not as fancy as myspace, its alot simpler. i still dont use facebook as much though becasue most of my friends still all have myspaces and so i do most of my talking on myspace or aim, but i think that facebook is the better website

no, I love facebook! I used to have myspace, but that was all just a big popularity contest. and now its also just full of annoying ads, and spammers.

facebook is easy to use, and its a great way for me to keep on contact with all my friends.

I personally like both Facebook and Myspace. Myspace is more for customizing and decorating. Facebook I use to talk to my classmates and study for tests.

i don't absolutely love it but i don't hate it either...i kinda like the interface and layout of it...it looks neat and organized, it's easy to find stuff cuz everyone's profile is the same... but it looks too plain, we should at least be able to choose a colour theme in our profiles or something. and yeah it IS kinda overpopularized, i agree on that one...people are a little too obsessed with it. it's kinda boring, there's hardly anything to do on it...all i do is check who wrote on my wall, reply, and check my inbox. i'm logged on for about 5 mintes. so yeah =)

I hated it at first, but it has really grown on me. All of my friends now are using it instead of myspace.
